MEESON WILLIAMS PHILLIPS HELPS SECURE NEW HOME FOR BICESTER FOODBANK

Commercial property consultancy, Meeson Williams Phillips, has helped to secure a new and permanent home for Bicester foodbank.

The foodbank, which has been ‘homeless’ since September, operated out of a van and from the Bicester Early Intervention Centre’s premises in Launton Road on Fridays, until they moved into their permanent home at 29a Market Square – located between Pizza Express and Wimpy – in November.

Their new first floor, open plan offices provides people with a central point to drop off their non-perishable, in-date food donations while being easily accessible to those collecting and distributing food parcels. The foodbank, which is manned by volunteers, is open Monday to Friday, from 10am to 12noon.

Ross Thomson, Associate Director at Meeson Williams Phillips, said: “We are very pleased to have played our part in finding suitable premises for this incredible charity which makes a difference to so many people.”

Meeson Williams Phillips were instructed to find new tenants for 29a Market Square after the existing leaseholders, recruitment company G Force Logistics, moved to larger premises at Somerville Court, Banbury Business Park.

The ground floor, town centre offices at Minton Court, Victoria Road, Bicester, which were previously occupied free of charge and on a temporary basis by the foodbank, have been refurbished and are now available to let, with parking.
