Meet creepy crawlies at Oxfordshire garden centre

YOUNGSTERS from Oxfordshire are this month (July, 2012) being invited to a garden centre in the county to meet some friendly insects and animals.Representatives from ZooLab will be hosting animal handling workshops at Bicester Avenue Garden Centre on Tuesday, July 24 at 11am and 1.30pm.Jeanette Cocklin, Events Manager at the garden centre on Oxford Road in Bicester, said: “We are delighted that ZooLab will be here with an array of creepy crawlies for children to learn about.“

During the workshops, youngsters will have the chance to see various creatures up close including cockroaches, giant snails, millipedes, scorpions, snakes, stick insects, tarantulas and tree frogs.“They will be able to discover lots about the beasts and will even get the chance to handle some of them.”ZooLab, which was set up in 1995, specialises in animal handling workshops for children across the UK.Booking for the ZooLab workshops is essential. Each session costs £4.95 per child and youngsters must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

The ZooLab workshops will take place at Bicester Avenue Garden Centre on Tuesday, July 24 from 11am until 12noon and from 1.30pm until 2.30pm.
