As part of Clearview Traffic’s support for Brake’s annual national Road Safety Week, we are sponsoring the execution of a car crash extraction demonstration at the Banbury & Bicester College motorsports campus on Telford Road.
Working in partnership with the college, the Bicester and Kidlington fire crews, and the Oxfordshire Road Safety Officers, we will be highlighting to young people the very real risks of careless or reckless driving. A young driver aged between 17 -24 is the most vulnerable driver in the UK and we hope that this experience will help the students to understand the consequences of drivers taking unnecessary risks.
The event will take place at 10am on Tuesday 25th Nov in the car park of the motorsports college. The exercise will last approximately 30 minutes and will see the fire crews demonstrating what is involved for them, from when they first arrive at the scene of a RTA, to how they cut victims out of a vehicle and safely extract them to an ambulance.
Engaging with the local community to make the roads safer for all users is a key focus for Clearview Traffic and we are pleased to be able to work in partnership with other local stakeholders to make this event happen
