Activate Learning

Activate Learning is a pioneering education group with a unique approach to learning.

The group includes secondary further and higher education apprenticeship and workforce training consultancy commercial business and social enterprise.

Group members are united by a common purpose; to transform lives through learning.

Activate Learning is working with members of Bicester Vision to support the economic wellbeing of the town and ensure that it has the skills required to realise its future growth plans.

We are working locally via:

  • Banbury and Bicester College: our Bicester campus is a national centre of excellence for motorsport engineering. Located in the heart of motorsport valley our former students have gone on to work for every Formula 1 team in the country. Programmes include those for school leavers apprentices and a foundation degree accredited by Oxford Brookes University.
  • Bicester Heritage our apprenticeship company Activate Enterprise is delivering the innovative Classic Vehicle Restoration Apprenticeship at Bicester Heritage. The apprenticeship has been developed by the Federation of British Historic Vehicle Clubs following research which shows a growing skills gap in this highvalue sector. Apprentices train at Bicester Heritage the UKs first centre dedicated to the restoration storage and enjoyment of vintage and classic cars motorcycles and aeroplanes while working with employers across the region.
  • Bicester Technology Studio: a school providing learners aged 14 to 19 with a curriculum specialising in business and engineering. Bicester Technology Studio is designed to train tomorrows business leaders and technological innovators to support the growth of high technology and green economy industries in and around north Oxfordshire. The school curriculum is delivered with the support of local employers and industry partners.
  • The Bicester School Activate Learning is the academy sponsor for The Bicester School a good school with a vision to provide a high achieving stimulating and creative learning environment with a caring compassionate and challenging ethos.
