With the summer holidays on the doorstep, Healthy Bicester has come up with a challenge competition which is free and fun for all the family.
Residents in Bicester are invited to explore the main green areas in the town with the chance to win a Fitbit or a family swim pass for Bicester Leisure Centre.
As part of the Healthy New Town Programme, Cherwell District Council is launching the ‘Green Spaces Challenge’.
To enter the competition residents have to visit all the 11 green spaces marked on the flyer that will be distributed in Bicester over the summer.
However, just visiting these places will not be enough to get a prize. People are requested to do some exercise in there: walking, skipping, jogging, playing or using an outdoor gym are all fine. Residents have until 4 September to complete the challenge.
Everyone who completes the challenge will win a Healthy Bicester mug by taking a picture in each green area while doing their activities and posting it on Facebook or Twitter tagging #HealthyBicester.
To claim the Healthy Bicester mug and enter into a prize draw for a Fitbit and family swim vouchers, people need to email 11 photos picturing them in each green space to healthynewtown@cherwell-dc.gov.uk specifying where each photo has been taken.
